The Planning ApplicationHalf of the battle was knowing what to submit for our Lawful development certificate. I wanted to do everything myself so I decided to have a go, what was the worst that could happen!?
I used the applicaiton 'paint' on the computer for the drawings as it's so simple and everyone has it for all the bits and bobs. Then there were simply a few photos and a really simple form to fill on which we obtained from the local council website. I have uploaded everything we submitted so you can have a look what you can get away with! I actually phoned up the Planning department and had a meeting with them as I had no clue at all and they gave me some really good advice, it's worth doing and it dosent cost anything! We submitted the following via the online planning portal (All downloadable from the links on the Right) 1. The application form from our local council 2. Photograph of the front of the house 3. Photograph of the rear of the house 4. Proposed floor plan 5. A Location Plan 1:500 scale (We had to buy this for £40 purchased from here) 6. A Site Location Plan 1:1250 (Purchased from the same place in the £40 fee) 7. Proposed front Elevation (I drew this on paint!) 8. Proposed rear Elevation (Again drawn on paint!) 9. Proposed Side Elevation (... Paint anyone?) 10. Roof Space volume calculation |
